It’s a question of life, death and karaoke.” Host Victoria lynn Weston talks with Oscar winner and recently Oscar nominated director, screenwriter Martin Strange-Hansen’s film short, ON MY MIND.
When a man walks into a bar near the start of “On My Mind,” was shot in Denmark during a period of heavy coronavirus restrictions, the film mixes memoir and fiction and is OSCAR nominated, in the Best Short Film (Live Action) category, for 2022 Academy Awards.
Martin tells a story about a man who is desperate to sing his wife a song whatever it takes. The film,“On My Mind” is based on a very personal experience of loss and final goodbyes. “The film is inspired by the director’s experience of losing his daughter.
